A very special free Saturday afternoon event with two of surfing’s most exciting filmmakers – Chris McClean and Kepa Acero. A special Q & A with star of Compassing, professional surfer, explorer and filmmaker Kepa Acero who is showing exclusive preview extracts from his new movie and  answering questions on his solo travels to areas such as Antarctica, Angola and Patagonia. Award winning UK filmmaker Chris McClean is presenting the world premiere of his new short film FV25 as well as showcasing some of his amazing work and answering questions on the filmmaking process and his travels and adventures in cold climes.

1SerendipityUK Premiere. How would you feel if you stumbled upon an undiscovered tropical surf paradise? This documentary shines a light on one of surfing’s fairytales. Tony Hussein Hinde was a 20 year old Australian who went on a surfing adventure at a time when many of the world’s best surf breaks where yet to be discovered. What he found was perfect surf on a chain of tropical coral attols, an eastern Islamic culture and a new personal identity.

2012, CHRIS BURKARD PHOTOGRAPHY, SURFING, RUSSIA, KAMCHATKAUK Premiere. A film that jumps in at the deep end of surfing’s exploratory boundaries when Keith Malloy, Dane Gudauskas, Trevor Gordon, and Cyrus Sutton journey to the shores of remote Kamchatka on Russia’s Pacific rim, where the only way to scour remote breaks is by Soviet era truck or rickety helicopter. Surfing, camping and foraging for food on the area’s unspoiled beaches, the three surfers step away from the modern world and into a quieter, more attuned and more self-sufficient existence.

Renowned NY surfer/artist/filmmaker Tin Ojeda delivers a wonderous slice of visuals shot on Super 8 and 16mm set to a sublime soundtrack. Featuring the wave sliding talents of leading lights including Rob Kulisek, Derek Hynd, Scotty Stopnik, Mikey DeTemple, Andy Findlay, Robin Kegel, Kassia Meador, Marshall Brothers, Erin Wormtown, Billy Death, JJ Wessels, Kyle Lightner, and filmed on location in New York, California, Mexico and Australia this is an exploration into the super stylish.
