Friends

It’s great working with friends – people you like, people who get you and what you’re about.

And this year at LS/FF we’re stoked to be working with a raft of brands and creatives we have a real affinity to.

My Reef shoes have barely been off my feet all summer and our Reef luggage has seen some epic trips both near and far. Writing this I have a cup of Allpress coffee in my hand, the wetsuits dripping dry on the line outside are Xcel and I’ve just checked the forecast on MagicSeaweed – there are a few waves around today. We wrote for the very first issue of Huck, have been featured in Carve and SurfGirl magazines and watch surf movies at Xtreme Video. We love France and since that first overnight cabin experience, Brittany Ferries is the only way to go. We’re surrounded by a creative bunch of friends and allies at Venn Creative and Approaching Lines and everyone has 2 minutes they can give back to the beach with a #2minutebeachclean.

Mike Allpress in Indo

“There are a lot of surfers at Allpress. Our roastery in Burleigh Heads is a skip away from that right. The boys in Sydney turn up to work in boardies and Mike Allpress likes to catch a few in NZ. We are not so lucky in London but we still get wet when we can. Last year we helped our guy Rob and his mates at Crayfish Films to shoot #Vanlife. They took out the “Spirit of the Festival” award at LSFF 2013. We love surf flicks and are rapt to be involved again this year.”
