LS/FF 10 SUBMISSIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

Submissions for the 10th Annual London Surf / Film Festival are now open. Surfing and surf culture are wide open to creative interpretation and we welcome submissions from across the globe and across the genres that explore all aspects and angles from documentary to action, stop-frame to animation and anything in between.

LS/FF 10 hits the capital 2-4 DECEMBER 2021. In order to support creatives during these uncertain times, we are waiving filmmaker submission fees for this year’s event for both features and short films.

The London Surf / Film Festival is a showcase for the cream of international surf culture. We hand pick the very best in independent films by both leading lights and emerging surf filmmakers to curate a line-up that celebrates the underground while embracing the most hotly anticipated new releases, creating a broad-reaching programme that consists of the very best of independent filmmaking.

Since the beginning we’ve been stoked to work with talented filmmakers from across the world to bring to the big screen the most outstanding, the most relevant and the most ground breaking projects. We’ve been delighted to host some 225 film premieres, presented by the most exciting & unexpected names in surf & culture inc. multi award-winning directors like Kai Neville, Chris McClean, George Trimm, Ava Warbrick, and Peter Hamblin, as well as 7x world champion Stephanie Gilmore, icon Rob Machado, big wave pioneers Paige Alms & Albee Layer, chargers Torrey Meister, Chippa Wilson & Dion Agius, explorers like Kepa Acero and Keith Malloy surf creatives including Lee-Ann Curren and Alex Knost plus leading filmmakers, musicians, artists, photographers, writers & the most relevant names in surf culture

All screened features are considered for prestigious awards including London Surf / Film Festival Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Cinematography – as selected by the Screening Panel, comprising experts from the worlds of surfing, filmmaking and media – as well as the Viewer’s Choice, as voted for by the knowledgeable UK audience. SUBMISSION FEES WAIVED FOR LS/FF 10

London Surf / Film Festival is only open to those films that have not participated in any UK festival prior to their presentation at the London Surf / Film Festival.  This ensures we can champion and support each filmmaker and their project that is showcased as part of the festival.
