The LS/FF 10 big Friday is a celebration of surf, travel and the spirit of adventure at heart of it all.
We’re stoked to present the much anticipated World Premier of Sweet Adventure from multi-award winning Dir. Peter Hamblin, featuring the most exciting names in surfing including Albee Layer and Matt Meola plus iconic, boundary busting skater Nora Vasconcelos and more, accompanied by a very special Q+A. Plus the World Premiere of hot off the shelf short Domestic Tourist Dir: Clem McInerney staring Gearoid Mcdaid.
We have a very special screening and UK Premiere of Cadavre Exquis, presented in person by surfer/ musician and debut Director Lee-Ann Curren. This beautiful film, ‘beautiful corpse’, is a celebration of the art of collaboration and features a who’s who of stand out female surfers ripping, styling and imagining their way across the planet including Margaux Arramont-Tucoo, Ainara Aymat, Leila Hurst, Karina Rozunko, Hanna Scott & more. We’re long term fans of creative tour de force Jack Coleman. We’re delighted to present the European premiere of his latest epic Polysun a sublime exploration through a full catalogue of surfcraft. As surf scribe Jamie Brisick describes it, “POLYSUN carries no message—in fact it kicks against the very notion of messages—but if it did it’d go something like: “Dance like no one’s around”. And isn’t that just the point? The epic features will be accompanied by live music, and the best of The Shorties – Step into the Black Dir. Daniel Satchell, Seesaw Dir. Joao Tudella, The Moments in Between Dir. Mike Guest, Translate short Dir. Rebecca Smith. This is what Fridays should always look like!
