OAKLEY ON BOARD WITH LS/FF

The London Surf / Film Festival is proud to announce Oakley as Associate Sponsor of the 2011 event. “The London Surf / Film Festival is the UK’s premiere showcase for International surf filmmaking, it’s about celebrating the cutting edge of surfing and surf culture while paying homage to its roots and rich heritage,” says Event Director Chris Nelson. “Oakley has been a surfer’s staple for decades and currently works with some of the most exciting waveriders on the planet from the likes of Bruce Irons, Julian Wilson and Jordy Smith to British surfers like Oli Adams, so we’re stoked to have them on board.”

“We are really excited to be involved with the first annual London Surf / Film Festival,” says Heather Pigott, Oakley UK Communications Manager. “We’ve been running low-key surf movie nights in London during the summer months since 2009, so we know this festival is needed and wanted in the city where there are hundreds of frustrated surfers crying out for a temporary fix! It is also an incredible opportunity to showcase the UK’s grassroots talent.”
