The Shorties Shortlist 2016

What an incredible year for filmmaking! The standard of short films submitted to the LS/FF Shorties 2016  have raised the bar yet again showing what a wealth of creative talent we have here on our shorelines. Open exclusively to filmmakers from or based in the UK and Ireland The LS/FF Shorties was established in 2011 to give a global platform to homegrown creatives and it’s done just that.

Thanks to the wider surf community for supporting independent filmmaking and sharing and voting for their favourite short films. The public votes have been combined with the marks and comments from our screening panel  and we’re delighted to reveal, in no particular order, the shortlisted films being showcased on the big screen at this year’s festival:
