For this 11th Edition London Surf / Film Festival, 11 of the best shorts from the cream of homegrown surf filmmaking talent have been longlisted. What’s our obsession with this double monolithic number, where is the hidden symbology you may ask. Well, if 11 is good enough for The Goat, its plenty good enough for us!
We’ve teed up just under an hour of bite sized surf movie magic for you: there are sick edits from the furthest reaches of our fair isles, super 8 traveloguing, moments of calm, moments of chaos, moments of clarity, 3D cyber dreams and everything in between.
Until 22nd October, support your favourite films from the very best homegrown surf filmmakers by watching, enjoying, sharing and voting for them >> HERE<< to cast your ballot, hit the ‘VOTE NOW’ link at the top of the page.
The very best will be premiered on the big screen as part of the 11th London Surf / Film Festival hosted 25 – 26 November at the iconic Riverside Studios in West London and 2 December at East London’s epic Genesis Cinema. And as part of our commitment to UK and Irish filmmaking talent, for 2022, there will again be a £1000 cash prize for The Shorties x Surfdome winning film, plus a £500 prize to accompany the Emerging Talent Award.
Congratulations to all the talented filmmakers who keep the stoke fires burning long after the waveriding is done!
