FINISTERRE ON BOARD FOR FESTIVAL

The London Surf / Film Festival is proud to announce Finisterre as partners for the 2012 event. “The London Surf / Film Festival is the UK’s premiere showcase for International and British filmmaking and a celebration of the rich and diverse culture that surrounds our surfing lifestyle,” says Festival Director Chris Nelson. “Waveriders on our shores are part of the hardy cold water tribe. We look forward to the promise of crisp Autumn and Winter days when temperatures plummet and our peak swell season kicks in, creating moments that live long in the memory. The team at Finisterre are committed to designing great product for cold water surfers, they’ve kept me warm on my search for waves from Hokkaido to Nova Scotia and from Iceland to my home in Cornwall so we’re stoked to be working with this innovative British surf company.”

11-14 October 2012, hosted at London’s iconic Riverside Studios, the London Surf /Film Festival is one of Europe’s most creative and relevant surf happenings showcasing together the very best of contemporary film, art, photography, commentary and design from waveriding’s most exciting creative’s. Bringing to the capital 4 nights of international surfing’s hottest releases and UK Premieres as well as the pick of The Shorties short film competition presented by National Trust this a must-attend for purveyors of the glide. London Surf / Film Festival is a we are the fold production and tickets will be on sale through the Riverside box office from September.

“The London Surf / Film Festival is one of those things you come across and know within moments that there’s something special going on,” says Finisterre founder Tom Kay.  “We’re stoked to be involved with Chris and the film festival and even more so when you see what it’s trying to do, it’s avoiding the cliche and it’s trying to deliver surf film in a new way. To be part of that is a pretty rad thing.”
