Surf Filmmaking on the Edge

London Surf / Film Festival is stoked to announce a very special free Saturday afternoon event with two of surfing’s most exciting filmmakers – Chris McClean and Kepa Acero.

The Riverside Studios will host a special Q & A with star of Compassing, professional surfer, explorer and filmmaker Kepa Acero who is coming over from the Basque Country to show exclusive preview extracts from his new movie and to answer questions on his amazing solo travels to areas such as Antarctica, Angola and Patagonia.

Award winning UK filmmaker Chris McClean is presenting the world premiere of his new short film FV25 as well as showcasing some of his amazing work and answering questions on the filmmaking process and his travels and adventures in cold climes.

This special event is certainly not to be missed! Proceedings kick off at 3pm at the Riverside and entry is free, but tickets are limited and must be reserved HERE or via the Riverside box office on: 020 8237 1111

Also throughout Saturday there will also be live surfboard shaping from Celtic Connections in The Approaching Lines Room so do drop in and see just how a surfboard is crafted from a block of foam through to a sculpted and finely honed piece of waveriding artwork.

The Approaching Lines Room also contains the very best in art, photography, surfboards and culture from surfing’s finest creatives and is open throughout the festival. The shaping will be taking place Saturday afternoon and evening.
