LS/FF 2022 opens with the London Premiere of the multi award winning Savage Waters Dir. Mikey Corker. A journey in search of a mythical wave in some of the most dangerous waters of the Atlantic Ocean, this powerful tale is one of courage, exploration and inspiration in equal measure. Accompanied by a very special Q+A.
After the interval we’re stoked to present the European Premiere of the much anticipated Island X Dir. award-winning filmmaker Ben Weiland. A secret expedition to the frigid Alaskan fringes in the violent and unpredictable Bering Sea, seeking unridden realms and fresh hope for a photographer who thought he’s lost everything.
As part o our opening night programme, we’re delighted to be bringing to the big screen a hand picked selection of incredible short films, exploring near and far shores Other Land Dir. Alice Rosaline Ward journeys through Ireland while Tasgaoudrar Dir. Felix Gänsicke takes us deep into the hear of Moroccan mythology. The evening is accompanied by The Shorties shortlist film – the very best short films from homegrown filmmakers.
