The Shorties category is open exclusively to filmmakers from or based in the UK and Ireland. Films up to 5 minutes in length are welcomed from emerging and established names, exploring any aspect of surfing or surf culture, through any movie genre – from animation to action and anything in between. There’s more than one way to tell a surf story.
The shortlist is decided by a combination of votes cast by the surf community and the screening panel. The selected films are premiered on the big screen as part of the Annual London Surf / Film Festival. More details about The Shorties are HERE.
